Grant Awards

Grant and matching funds can be used for planning activities or for working capital expenses related to producing and marketing a value-added agricultural products. Examples of working capital expenses include:

--Processing costs
--Marketing and advertising expenses
--Some inventory and salary expenses

Additionally, you qualify for priority points if you have farmed for less than 10 years, are not majority by white males, have less than $1 million in average income, if your owners are part of the same family, or if you are selling to a local market.
